Blaine Welch
Blaine grew up in the small town of Bonduel, Wisconsin. Upon graduating from Bonduel High School in 2005, he attended Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee and spent his summers working at Camp Luther in Northern Wisconsin. While working at camp, he met his wife, Bailey. They were married in 2010 and moved to Wausau, Wisconsin where they both had professional jobs and attended Trinity Lutheran church where they played in the praise team.
In 2012, Blaine and Bailey moved up to Three Lakes, Wisconsin, where Blaine was hired as Camp Luther’s Director of Keweenaw Base Camp, a brand-new satellite location of Camp Luther located in Houghton, Michigan. In 2014, they welcomed their first child, Gabriel. After serving for three years as the Base Camp Director, the Welch’s moved to Camp Luther’s main location in Three Lakes, where Blaine took over as camp’s Director of Guest Services. While there, they welcomed two more kids: Eliyanah and Cyrus.
In December of 2021, Blaine accepted a new role at St. Mark’s as Director of Family Ministry. The Welch’s moved back to the Wausau area (this time with three kids) and are blessed to be part of the St. Mark’s family.
