Cathy Page

Cathy was born and raised in Merrill, WI. She attended Trinity Lutheran School where several of her teachers inspired her to become a teacher herself. After graduating from Merrill High School, she attended Concordia University – Chicago, where she met her future husband, Dan. In 1994, Cathy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Music and also her Lutheran Teacher Diploma. Cathy and Dan got married in August of 1994.

Cathy started her teaching career in Houston, Texas, where she taught second grade and served as the Director of Parish Education and Fellowship and Primary Grades Team Leader. Cathy and Dan were blessed with the birth of their two oldest children, Emily and Eric, while living in Houston.

Cathy supervised two student teachers from Concordia University – Austin (TX). In 2002, she was awarded the “Master Teacher of the Year” in the primary grades by the Houston Area Lutheran Schools Association. She has mentored many first-year or newly-hired teachers throughout the years.

In 2002, Cathy felt God’s calling to move back “home” to be closer to family. After moving back to Wisconsin, Dan and Cathy were blessed with the birth of their two youngest children, Kelly and Kory. Throughout the next twenty years, Cathy taught 4K – 8th grade at various schools in the Merrill and Wausau area. One of her favorite positions was teaching kindergarten and serving as Assistant Principal at Trinity Lutheran School in Merrill, where she attended as a child!

Cathy feels very blessed to have been able to share the love of Jesus at various schools over the past 29 years and is SO excited to now be a part of the staff at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and Preschool! She is excited to see how God will use her gifts and abilities to help expand the preschool and childcare programs!

Cathy has been married for 29 years to Dan, who works in graphic print sales and also coordinates worship and serves as organist and choir director at St. Mark’s. Along with their four children (ages 25-16), they have been blessed with a wonderful son-in-law, grandson, and a new grandbaby on the way! In her spare time, Cathy enjoys spending time with family, playing cards and games, rubber stamping, and cheering on their youngest son’s sports teams.
